Why I’m A Coach
My desire is for there to be more good and light in the world. How? Simple. Focus on one person at a time. We all have special gifts, talents and passions that when used, can strengthen and enhance our lives and the lives of those around us. When you love your life, you and everyone around you benefit. We are better friends, parents, neighbors, employees, and people when we love and take care of ourselves, and that means we have to pay service to our needs. I enjoy working with the self-motivated individual who wants to let their light shine brighter. Let me use my gifts to allow you to use yours. That way everyone benefits!
About Me
I love people! I’m easy to talk to, genuinely interested in others, naturally inquisitive, appreciative of people’s differences, solution focused, open-minded, up for a challenge, an advocate, adventurous, family oriented and creative.
From my personal and professional experience, I have learned that we all have strengths and we all have things we’re not as good at. We have passions and talents and sometimes we can be really good at what we do even if we don’t enjoy it. We often even find a great amount of success and still do not love our jobs or maybe even our lives. However, if we’re empowered with the tools, resources and space needed to make decisions or create plans, have support and accountability and give ourselves permission, we can do what is best for ourselves and get more of what we truly want.
I’m a mother of two and married to my best friend and partner for life and we live in my favorite place, Colorado. I feel so fortunate to have these three in my corner along with a tremendous group of friends and family! Once upon a time, I felt like I knew everything, but I’m grateful to be where I’m at now. I’m humbled everyday. Learning about all the things I never knew, I never knew. It’s amazing to me how much I can learn about myself from my two young kids. I love the perspective that I can learn something valuable from just about anyone. It’s all about my own posturing and self-awareness. It’s also about having respect for others and what value they have. I believe that everyone is valuable and capable of doing great things. That’s not to say it’s easy or that it comes without work. Growing ourselves to be better, takes work, but in my experience it always pays off!
My career has provided me a wide swath of experiences from the airline and staffing industries to recruiting, program development and nutrition education. I’ve had the opportunity to do the important work of educating and empowering families at risk of hunger and building partnerships locally and across the country. My background also includes training, project management, content development, research, customer service, program development, partnership management, office management, accounting, marketing, IT and HR support.
What else? I have a deep passion for travel and discovering new parts of the world. One of my favorite parts of traveling is experiencing cultures through food! I also love talking to people who have an expertise or even just a passion, because I get to experience someone in their element. I so enjoy learning from them and seeing them light up.
I believe that if you love your life, you’ll inspire the hearts of others around you.
Show up as your best self and you can truly love your life!
What I Can Offer You
Safe space to discuss whatever is important to you but doesn’t seem to get the time it deserves.
Questions that allow you to look inward and remind yourself of who you really are.
Support to set goals and keep you accountable on your progress towards those goals.
Resources that can challenge you to find and refocus on where you’re at now and who you want to be, then figuring out how to close that gap.
Tools that can make you more aware of and even eliminate things that are taking energy from you so you can focus on what’s important to you.
Accountability to stay on track in achieving your desired outcomes and being the best version of yourself.
Time for you to focus on the whole person, not just the low hanging fruit. There’s always something underneath the obvious thing.
An opportunity to rediscover or reignite passion.
Guidance in determining and then living in your core values.
“If you don’t ask for what you want, you’ll never have it. If you don’t ask, the answer is always no. If you don’t step forward, you’re always in the same place. ”
Oh and this picture, is when I caught my first fish fly fishing! I was slightly thrilled to say the least. It was huge! Plus what a beautiful backdrop. Good work Whidbey Island.
